A NOTE ON SAFETY: Please make sure to disclose any behavioral issues your horse may have. Every horse releases their tension in different ways – my treatment technique changes with every single horse, and my priority is ensuring that the horse is comfortable and positively responding during the session. Horses sometimes yawn and get sleepy as they release tension and relax. Sometimes, especially horses who are sensitive, need a little space to move around or stretch. A horse that bites or kicks, is ‘blocking’ the release OR in a lot of pain. If your horse is aggressive, it is best to have the vet come out to determine whether the cause is behavioral or physical. I have worked with many young horses and horses that have been rescued from abuse situations. I am an expert at working patiently in these types of scenarios. However, if I feel that myself or others are at risk I will stop the session. Thanks for your understanding!
